Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Past Perfect Continuous Tense yapısında cümleler kurmak için şu formül kullanılır. Past Perfect Continuous Tense'in kullanımı şu şekildedir.
Time expression olarak Past Perfect Continuous Tense kullanılmaz Simple Past Tense kullanılır..


subject + had been + verb_ing

Subject auxillery verb verb rest of sentence
I had been moving to a new house.
You / We / They had been moving to a new house.
He / She / It had been moving to a new house.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense Positive
Geçmişte başlayıp geçmişte başlayan diğer bir durumun başlangıcına kadar devam eden durumlar için kullanılır.

The meeting had been starting when she arrived.
She had been fixing the tap when her mother came.
I had been studying when the bus passed.


Past Perfect Continuous Tense Negative
Olumsuz cümle yapısı kullanılırken had not ile kullanılır.

subject + had not been + verb_ing

I had not been moving to a new house.
You / We / They had not been moving to a new house.
He / She / It had not been moving to a new house.

The meeting had not been starting when she arrived.
She had not been fixing the tap when her mother came.
I had not been studying when the bus passed.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense Question
Question cümle yapısında had başa gelir.

had + subject + been + verb_ing

Auxillery verb subject verb rest of sentence
Had I moving to a new house.
Had You / We / They moving to a new house.
Had He / She / It moving to a new house.

Had the meeting been starting when she arrived?
Had she been fixing the tap when her mother came?
Had I been studying when the bus passed?

Örnek cümleler:

My mother (rest) when the children broke the window.

My mother had been resting when the children broke the window.
My mother had not been resting when the children broke the window.
Had my mother been resting when the children broke the window?

I (drive) home when I saw the accident.

I had been driving home when I saw the accident.
I had not been driving home when I saw the accident.
Had I been driving home when I saw the accident?

Barbara (watch) tv when Tom arrived.

Barbara had been watching tv when Tom arrived.
Barbara had not been watching tv when Tom arrived.
Had Barbara been watching tv when Tom arrived?

Diego (study) hard.

Diego had been studying hard.
Diego had nor been studying hard.
Had Diego studying hard?
